Robert Buri, PhD

Robert Buri, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. He is passionate about helping individuals maximize their potential and overcoming obstacles in life. With understanding and compassion, he works to help clients build on their strengths and develop strategies to recognize and achieve their goals.

Dr. Buri has provided services in a variety of settings including private practice and a large multidisciplinary health system. Dr. Buri is a life-long learner and has mentored many students and early career professionals.

Dr. Buri provides neuropsychological assessments for individuals with suspected concussion/traumatic brain injury, dementia/memory impairment, developmental and intellectual disability evaluations, ADHD, and other disorders impacting brain function. Dr. Buri also provides psychological evaluations, including presurgical and diagnostic evaluations, personality assessments as well as military compensation and pension exams.

In addition to psychological evaluation services, Dr. Buri provides therapy for a broad range of clients including medical professionals, executives, business owners and high-performing individuals. He offers a highly personalized approach to help others improve their mental health. He believes quality patient care involves learning a client’s unique experiences and preferences, meeting them where they are on their path in life, and empowering them to a purpose-driven life.

Dr Buri and his wife owned and operated a dynamic private practice in South Dakota for 15 years prior to moving to Arizona to be closer to family. Personal interests for Dr. Buri include faith, family, and fitness. He enjoys reading, running, hiking and music.

• Master’s and Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas with an emphasis in Sport Psychology
• Bachelor of Science in Psychology from South Dakota State University
